If you are moving servers as part of your forum upgrade, we consider this to be two separate projects, and each process is done independently. It is done one of the following two ways, depending on the set up of each server:
1. The old forum software is migrated to the new forum software, then the site is transferred to the new server.
or
2. The site is transferred to the new server, then the old forum software is migrated to the new forum software.
While combining them into one step can be done (and we've done it), it is far more time consuming, and there's a greater chance it will run into unforeseen issues.
Can we make exceptions to the above? Yes, but these will be charged on an hourly rate and will require a retainer.
